Who We Are

We are a small Grade A dairy farm located in Williamsburg, Ohio. We have Nigerian Dwarf Goats, Mini Nubians, sheep, chickens, and rabbits. We chose the Nigerian Dwarf breed because of its smaller size and still a dairy goat.

Delightful working dairy goat farm. Animals are happy and healthy, well fed and well taken care of. Owner/operators know their animals, often by name. Magnificent, well-run operation - and I got to feed a baby goat! Steve Aubrey
Anyone interested in getting away from industrial milk should consider fresh, raw goat milk from D and L. A certified grade A dairy, it is run solely by the couple's three daughters. They handle the entire operation, from birthing to feeding to medical care. Not your typical teens! Their goat milk is snow white, delicious, and can be used in place of whole cow's milk. For a nominal fee, you can purchase a full share or half share of the herd, and gain access to fresh raw goat milk and fresh cheeses that they make on site. It is worth paying a visit to the farm to meet the goats (so cute and playful!) and all the other animals they raise. If you care about where your food comes from, then I encourage you to visit the farm and consider buying a share in the herd. It's a small investment, but the benefits are great. This Goat Dairy farm is by appointment only for tours and visits. They offer a herd share program for fresh delicious goats milk. They have working farm tours and the most beautiful, healthy little goats you could hope to meet. Family run and operated. We have been getting raw milk for about 17 years and love it. We made the switch from cow milk to goat milk from the Smits about 4 or 5 years ago and have never looked back. This goat milk is so good. There is no goat-y aftertaste. It usually lasts quite a while, too. Also, I cannot say enough about the Smits family themselves and their dedication to their customers, their diligence, and hard work. They are extremely knowledgeable about what they are doing, and are always ready to teach you anything you want to know. My kids have volunteered here several times, and can attest to their extremely high standards and efficiency. Jill Broyles
This farm is absolutely one of my top 3 finds in Ohio. The family is so knowledgeable. They know everything relating to goats, and so willing to share. Did I say very patient and kind yet? So many explanations of their work. My granddaughters had questions about everything and wanted to bring the babies home. (I really couldnt get of the babies either). The quality at this farm is second to none in my opinion. The pricing is very reasonable as well. The farm is well kept and beautiful. The highlight of my trip was holding a conversation with the owners. They are very kind and great to talk with. I look forward to my next trip. Jeffrey Fritz
